Sangmitra Singh

Sangmitra Singh is a dynamic professional with a diverse background in education, community service, media, and social work. With a passion for fostering intellectual and social development, she has worked as a facilitator and mentor, helping individuals build both
their personality and communication skills. Her expertise spans from teaching English and personality development to guiding individuals in mastering professional and interpersonal skills.

Sangmitra’s career in radio broadcasting has been equally impactful. She has served as the Station Head at Desh Bhagat Radio 107.8 FM, a community-driven radio station where content is created by the community, for the community. Prior to this role, she was Creative Head, contributing to content that promotes social upliftment, women empowerment, environmental awareness, and conscious living. Her work has earned her several accolades, including recognition for her exceptional contributions to community service and media.

A dedicated social worker, Sangmitra has been actively involved with Rotary International’s Chandigarh Himalayan chapter and Rotaract, where she has contributed to multiple initiatives aimed at enhancing community well-being. Her commitment to spreading love, happiness,
and positive change is central to her life’s mission. In addition to her radio and social service work, Sangmitra has a strong academic
background. She holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication, a Gold Medalist Bachelor of Education degree, and a Master’s in Design focusing on Fashion Management from the University of Southampton. She also has a
background in law, with a B.A.LL.B degree from Panjab University.  Fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and conversational French, Sangmitra has also demonstrated her leadership through various initiatives, such as being selected as a Brand Ambassador for the Swacch Sarvekshan and receiving awards for her social work like Certificate of Appreciation by Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, Awarded with Gold Medal by
Malwa Samaj Seva Manch, Punjab ,Certificate of Appreciation by UNICEF for supporting Covid 19 Appropriate Behaviour and contributions to community media. Whether through her work in education, media, or social service, Sangmitra is deeply committed to empowering individuals and communities.
